“Student Outreach and Art Renditions”
Kingman Center for the Arts partnered with the MSTEPP organization to bring the SOAR program to our local schools. This program educates students about the dangers of opioid abuse and how the arts, both visual and performing arts, can be used as coping skills to handle life’s challenges.
The program ran for 3 hours on four different days. We learned about opioids, played games, talked, made new friends and created art. This visual art show features the art that was created in this program. We are excited to share it with you.
The show runs August 5th-September 11th at the ArtHub, 402 E. Beale Street. Open hours are Tues-Thur, 11am-5pm, Fri-Sat, 11am-6pm. A special opening reception will be held on Friday, August 6th from 5-8pm.
